Luke holds a Master's degree in Industrial & Organisational Psychology from the City University of New York (CUNY) and spent time in Australia where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Mass Communications from Monash University.
In Singapore, Luke champions for inclusivity and has served as the Head of Preventive Drug Education at the Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association (SANA), as well as the Head of Community Services at the Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf).
While at SADeaf, he was part of the team that inaugurated English subtitles at GV cinemas and he helped to train deaf and hard-of-hearing persons on how to scuba dive. This capitalized on how Sign Language is a natural mode of communication underwater and can be used by the deaf for recreation, conservation efforts and potential employment. Luke was part of the award-winning NUS Start-UP@Singapore Fil'O Team, which produced a new assistive technology for deaf parents to be able to 'feel' whenever their newborns cried.
Luke is presently a full-time school counsellor at a specialised vocational institution for grade school leavers unable to qualify for mainstream high school education. Here he addresses the socioemotional needs of disadvantaged students, many of whom come from families of recovering addicts, and works with social enterprises and multianational companies to prepare these students to be ready for work.
He is a certified DISC Behaviour & Career Consultant and PADI Dive Master who conducts training, profiling, team building and regularly consults on a freelance basis.
